N.E.R.F.

Not Really An Acronym

One thing I don’t understand — and this is not a criticism of our friends and fans, I’m just really puzzled — is why people don’t download our music. People say really nice things about us, shake our hands after a show, help us out online, but downloads? <0.5% of other actions (plays, likes, shares, whatever).

I mean I download anything I can get my hands on, and usually that involves hijacking the headers from some lame Flash player, but I understand that I “have a problem”. It doesn’t make sense to me to say I like this, I want to see them live, I even go back and stream this a couple of times, but I’m not gonna download this free track and put it on my iPod… and this is exactly what people are doing. Help me out here.

edit: Yay, angry anon ask must mean I’m doing something right. I certainly don’t think we deserve any more (or less) than what we’re getting; I’m just interested in the psychology of it.
