URGENT PLEA: MISSING WORK
EVERYONE PLEASE HELP: My work from the semester has gone missing and I’m desperately searching for them. On Weds 24th Nov, some of my friends helped me move my work from my assessment table over to the fine arts tables outside the basement, at the corner. They kept it in a neat pile and everything was there. I couldn’t go down to pick it up that evening and I naively thought that because we are a respected art school filled with brilliant respectful artists, the thought that anyone would even touch my work didn’t even cross my mind. I went down yesterday to pick up my work and couldn’t find ANYTHING but 3 pieces of my 2D work. They were inside nice frames that I had bought, and they looked like they were forced out of the frames in a disrespectful manner and left torn up under a pile of books. That’s all I found. My 2D and 3D sketchbooks were gone, my entire A3 Drawing sketchbook is gone, and my hand-sewn and hand-made drawing diary was gone.My classmate’s work that was placed beside mine was still there, intact, untouched. There were quite a number of great works around the area, so the possibility of a cleaner clearing the area is low, because then, the other works would be gone too. The only things that were missing and damaged, it seemed, were mine.I am heart broken and desperate, because I didn’t manage to take any photos of my work, and I really put in all my blood and sweat and so much time on them. This is my artwork, something I poured my heart and soul into. I truly believe that as artists we should be respectful to each others works, and as an art school, we shouldn’t live in fear of leaving our work around the basement studios, right? Rightfully that is where work is kept.I don’t understand why anyone would take my work, but it doesn’t matter why at all.. I honestly just want my work back and I would love you forever if you somehow found it and gave it back to me.. Please, please, please help.My work is my soul. You can take anything from me - money, my phone even. But please don’t take my soul :(Everyone please find it in your heart to help me. I’m desperate and I literally broke down when I saw the remainder of my work torn up like that. I don’t usually cry, but today I wept.
I would love if you could send a prayer or two about this for me, re-blog it, post the link on your fb profile or tweet it. I’m just trying to get the word out there as much as possible, just in case someone who knows something about my work reads it and sees how desperately I want my work back.
