Rubix cubes are easy and fun to solve, why are people so amazed by them?

Also: I get a lot of stares on the train, and it’s not like hey check that out, more “I am really bored and also kind of socially retarded” because the moment I look at them they pretend they weren’t staring.

Kids love it though. Especially if you can do some patterns instead of just solving.
