Coldplay - Sparks.
(sparkly brought to you by: joshawesome)Classic Coldplay, before they started dressing like the ancestors of The Wiggles. From Parachutes, one of my favorite albums of all time, “Sparks” is a perfect song to fall asleep to… My only advice is not to drink Sparks, as it is loaded with caffeine and will make your heart and liver explode rather than help you sleep.
I love this song. I played it once with miah for an unplugged set at some alumni event, and nobody was really listening, because they were all too busy pretending to be interested in catching up with people they didn’t really know from long ago, but it was awesome anyway.
In other news I nearly heard Viva la Vida at Timbre on Saturday. The guys were all ZOMG JUSTIN THIS IS COLDPLAY so I promptly went to the bathroom. Eight months and I have not heard a single song off the new album. Go me.
Oh, havent u heard? Coldplay’s concert tix are all sold out. Was planning to buy some with my sisters and drown ourselves in their music in the crowd…. I listen to colplay everytime i need a breath of fresh air. Their music is just.. so inspiring. Now i really wish i had bought the ticket wayyyy earlier. PFFT.
Yeah, I think I might’ve gone if my NS enlistment was just one week later :/ I love Parachutes and A Rush of Blood, and Fix You was brilliant too, but the vibe when I first saw some promos for Viva la Vida was a complete turnoff. It seemed like they’d forgotten all about their “very heavy soft rock” and were now in the business of making very boring alt rock. And a shitload of money, of course. But the point is I have successfully avoided hearing it, lol. To what end, I have no idea.
