Is that because your school doesn’t require you to provide a TOEFL or IELTS result slip? Because mine requires one and it’s mandatory, unless the British Embassy says it’s not a need. I emailed the British Council and they got back to me saying that Singapore isn’t a majority English-speaking country, and that it’s either I take the test or ask the school for other options.
we aren’t a majority English-speaking country? Everyone I know speaks English. *weird*
You have to be conscious of the fact that the vast majority of this country speaks and/or writes terrible English, even if our social circle / age group will rank a bit above intermediate on TOEFL.
