Don’t go to a rally tonight. Go see Gruff Rhys at TAB. Sneak into Nosaj Thing x Caribou. Or get lost in The Observatory’s live improvisation gig with Analog Girl, Bani Haykal (B-Quartet) and Fuzz Lee (Life Without Dreams).
ok sorry, or post-rock out to This is Atlantis at Identite
or, do none of the above because you have a prior dinner appointment with best friend of 23 years who is leaving for brisbane next week

Another free download from The Lard Brothers. It’s the Bonsai Warriors EP:
This is our second remix album. We released one on Singapore’s National Day 2009.
We did a couple of remixes for fun since then and some of them were done in exchange with our friends for them remixing our tracks.
The idea of the title ‘Bonsai Warriors’ came from one of our common hobbies: model-kit building (not limited to Gundam model kits).
As one of our guys would say, “Cutting up the plastic bits is like crafting a bonsai tree. It requires patience and effort. A samurai does not use his sword or train swordcraft all the time.”
"Sometimes, he hones his soul through bonsai."
You should hone your own soul too.
Not through bonsai. But model-kit building.

A sound artist, Atsuhiro Ito performs using his device the Optron, essentially fluorescent light tubes with integrated guitar pick-ups sent through guitar amp stacks.

Check out this video too. He’s collaborating with The Analog Girl and Zai Kuning at the Singapore Arts Festival, be there or weep.

Whoa. 5th June at supperclub, guys

Tickets to Storytelling, a concert featuring The Analog Girl! If you’re in Singapore and you’re reading this, I don’t care, you must come. Leave a message at my formspring to book tickets and I’ll throw in free hugs for you at the concert. To the rest of the world, sorry for the shameless self-promotion and please excuse my face.

Blah I’m on weekend duty

Date: Sunday, July 12, 2009 Time: 6:00pm - 10:00pm Location: Clarke Quay Central SOHO skygarden

This is not just another party under the stars, it is AMONG them! Twilight Galaxy promises you a fabulous evening of fun and friends and fiction and fantasy! Be sure to get your fangs on those alien food and drinks, soak in the otherworldly lights and sounds and encounter strange creatures from outerspace (we’re not kidding). The highlight of the event: Performances by Analog Girl, Breakbeat Theory, Amberhaze and Percy & The Stones. So, rocket down in your best alien-wear and dance away!
We have also invited a few shops to set up a small fleamarket exclusively put together for you exciting space freaks. There will also be a extraterrestrial D-I-Y alien merchandise stall selling the most bizzare items in the whole goddamn universe.
What’s more, the event supports a great cause too! 50% of our proceeds go to the Soup Kitchen project, which gives free food to the poor every Monday, and the Post Museum which supports local artists.

Click through for pictures of the neat rooftop garden location and ticketing info and stuff.
