My band recently did a studio session with SubsceneTV, think it turned out pretty well, we also talk awkwardly about Baybeats and our peers and heroes
Played our best show yet on my birthday, it felt really good, this is a new song
ANECHOIS - Written on the Walls (live)
So this is our Baybeats audition from Saturday. Still can’t believe I’ve been on the Esplanade Outdoor Theatre (albeit for just one song now).

50 playsIt really breaks my heart that one of my favourite bands of all time is “disbanding”.
i remember watching them for the first time.
i remember watching and being there for every of their album launches.
i remember meeting Bani Haykal for the first time at Snakweed when they were recording their sophomore album.
i remember having a huge fan girl crush on the very talented Bani Hidir.
i remember having sing-alongs with my friends to their albums.
i remember nights where i tried to figure out how to play the songs and gave up half way cause it way to advance or the songs were just too awesome for me to have the heart to butcher them.b-quartet is probably the only Singapore band i’ve had such deep passion for. And i don’t just like them cause they are “local”, mind you. They’ve always been an international top tier act in my books.
i really didnt expect myself to be so emotional about it, but hey. its a really sad day for the Singapore Music Scene. A band like “b-quartet” just doesn’t come by in every dynasty.
i love you guys, b-quartet.
And to haykal and hidir, please don’t stop making music. i’m a huge fan of your solo stuff, the poetry, mux & Page. and folks, please do check out the links. Its all quality artistry.\m/ rock never deth \m/
